{October 29, 2008}   A Plan

You know those minutes between the time you wake up in the morning and the time you actually climb out of bed?  Well, these are usually some of my most productive of the day.  Sad thought though it may be, it’s the truth.  This morning during these moments, I looked over at my wall calendar/bulletin board/marker board and examined the list of major projects I have due.  I’ve been struggling with this massively epic 20+ page paper involving the Lois Lowry book “The Giver”, intellectual freedom, intellectual property, information ethics, and censorship.  God bless those minutes this morning because I came up with a plan of attack!  I’m in the process of making an outline and a schedule to follow until the paper is due.  I usually wait until the last possible minute to get an assignment completed and it drives me bonkers!!  If I can work on just two pages a day, then I can finish my paper in a timely manner with minimal frustration.

I feel like I’m a little closer to being able to breathe easier!  :-)

{October 27, 2008}   Busy Bee

I have so much to do the rest of this semester and I don’t know where to start.

Major 20 page research paper

Annotated bibliography on digitization of materials

Biographical sources project

New Media Conference in Jackson, MS

2 more Spanish tests

3 more chapters worth of Spanish work

Audio recordings of Spanish lessons

Forget about Jason

Clean my house

Thanksgiving

Finals

Wow, it nevers seems to end, does it?  I need to get a major energy boost to be able to finish all of this work.  I haven’t even started on the 20+ page research paper yet!  ARGH!  I’m gonna need CUPS coffee 24/7 until Christmas!

{October 25, 2008}   Decision

I’ve decided to go to Northport next week.  I thought it over and came to the conclusion that I can’t let the past run my life and dictate my actions.  If I run into people I may not want to, I’ll meet them with a smile and my head held high.  I running my own life and plotting my own course.  I told my friend Shane today that life is full of ups and downs and that’s right.  If it weren’t a rollar coaster ride, what would be the fun of it?  What would we learn?  Nothing, that’s what.    I am a student of life and can’t wait to pass any popquiz that may come along.  ;-)

{October 23, 2008}   Posting

I hate that I’m so inconsistent when it comes to updating my blog sites.  I want to update regularly, but I just get so busy with school.  I’m thinking that the best possible course of action would be to aim for at least a weekly posting.  My life isn’t as interesting as other people’s, so I think this may be enough.  :-)
